First, I will ultimately defer to ‘Put This On’ on any style topic so, this is meant only to inform/toss out some advice. 

Secondly, the article does recommend carrying a wallet in a front pocket/pocket above the waist and that method may very well negate my statements below. Regardless, I felt the need to share my thoughts on leather wallets (as this aspect was not mentioned in the post):

While leather wallets almost always look better than any other material, if you use a leather wallet and store it in a back pocket, it eventually will absorb every odor it ever encounters (and naturally, leather cannot be washed so this problem can last for a long time). For this reason, I’ve started to go more towards synthetic wallets (ballistic nylon, usually) over leather. The only real problem I’ve found with non-leather wallets is that a lot of them will have velcro (blech), so you may need to perform a little surgery to remove it.

Anyway, the Duluth Pack canvas/leather design may solve all of these problems.
