Madison / Seattle / Washington, D.C. / New York City
Set of four, acrylic on 11x14” canvas. Commissioned.
“Roll Tide” // acrylic on repurposed 11x14” atlas page
Commissioned. Collegiate football and things! No elephants or maps were harmed in the making of this image.
”Home of the Reds” (2) // acrylic on 11x14” repurposed atlas page
Someone fancied my previous Mr. Redlegs map piece so much, they asked for a second edition, for their own gift-giving purposes. Fortunately, I had one more atlas page featuring southern Ohio.
“Birmingham” // acrylic on 8x10” canvas
Commissioned! Note: this is England, not Alabama. The colors are those of Aston Villa FC.
“Home of the Reds” // acrylic on 11x14” repurposed atlas page
I meant to post this a while ago — it was a Christmas gift I did for my future brother-in-law, who is definitely not from Cincinnati nor a huge Reds fan.
Also: yes, this character’s face coupled with his comically large bat is a bit unsettling.
”Old Town Alexandria” // acrylic on 16x20” canvas
A commissioned gift! Map attack. I am not sure of the exact significance of the Little Theatre.
Large detailed Arctic Ocean Floor map from the National Geographic.
The Arctic Ocean floor is probably the scariest place on Earth.
Attention, Techies and Hokesters: a solemn pact made for a commissioned map has fallen apart due to a horror of which I dare not speak. Thus, I have a completed 11x14” map of Blacksburg all packed up with nowhere to go. If you or anyone you know is interested in acquiring this piece (at a discount!), throw a polytechnical football at my head. Or just let me know with words: justin.taylor.brown [at] gmail.com
