just because it’s still funny.

I pointed this out nearly three years ago, when President Obama’s healthcare plan was still in the legislation phase but here it is again because we all need a good laugh.

Just a few of the concerns/claims people have been voicing as the bill known as HR 3200 makes its way through Washington:

• “The lash of the dictator will be felt, and 25 million free American citizens will for the first time submit themselves to a fingerprint test.”
• “The bill opens the door and invites the entrance into the political field of a power so vast, so powerful as to threaten the integrity of our institutions and to pull the pillars of the temple down upon the heads of our descendants.”
• “[It would] end the progress of a great country and bring its people to the level of the average European.”
• “[It would] establish a bureaucracy in the field of insurance in competition with private business.”
• “Isn’t this socialism?”

Oh, wait. These were maligning statements made about something called Social Security before it was signed into law 74 years ago, today — a system a lot of the Obamacare opponents now completely support. Whoops. Nevermind.
