I like to believe any village/city founded at the foot of a mountain was erected in the spirit of enough people in the pioneer group looking at that huge mountain in front of them, exhaling, and saying “…screw this noise, I’m stopping here”.

I don’t care what sort of devastated condition their economy is in nor do I care about their love for salty sea fish — I would like to visit Iceland.
Despite copious efforts from Fast Five (not bad) and The Incredible Hulk (better but still not great), I really think there could be a mind-blowing movie scene or sequence set in the favelas of Rio. I imagine the only obstacle is the fact that it’s probably beyond complicated to set up a massive production, there. Still… look at that place. My brain hurts just from a still image.
